Workshop Description
This workshop focuses on materials containing heavy d- and f-electron ions that host unconventional quantum states such as multipolar orders, spin and dimer liquids, spin–orbit excitons, and topological or fractionalized phases.
These phenomena highlight the deep entanglement between spin and orbital degrees of freedom.
The event aims to bring together leading and emerging researchers to discuss recent advances, identify key challenges, and explore future directions in spin–orbit entangled quantum matter.
