Kick-off Meeting of ENCAPSULATE

On the 6th of November 2023 in the welcoming city of Bologna, at the Industrial Chemistry Department "Toso Montanari" of the Alma Mater Studiorum, Università di Bologna, the Kick-off Meeting of ENCAPSULATE project was performed. During the meeting, both the research unit of Bologna (represented by the P.I. Tommaso Tabanelli) and of Venice (local unit responsible, Dr. Massimo sgarzi) have presented the current state of the art on the reductive catalytic fractionaction of lignocellulosic biomass and on special materials based on cellulose and lignin for water remediations and other catalytic applications. The discussion was highly engaging, allowing to define the starting point of the research activity and to propose technical and operative strategies to undergo to an optimal cooperation among the research units.
