Action Plan

The four pillars (Hubs) of the Cluster of Research Excellence on NbS for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.

A primary principle of this CoRE is to interact and collaborate via the combination of fundamental research, observation, numerical modelling, synthesis and knowledge transfer. This robust approach provides a cross-cutting framework in support of sets of topics being pursued by the CoRE members, thus permitting a modular, expandable and scalable approach that is strongly synergistic and advances transdisciplinary learning and translation for policy use.

The activities of the CoRE are designed around four hubs and organised into Work Packages (WPs). The four hubs are:

  1. the Climate Service Hub (CSH)
  2. the NbS Innovation Hub (NIH)
  3. the Adaptation and Mitigation Hub (AMH)
  4. the Capacity Building Hub (CaBH).

The Hubs will provide the framework for the scientific and technical cooperation and collaboration between different partners on a broad thematic area.

The key outputs and outcomes of the CoRE.

The CoRE will go through a strategy planning process to map out its impact pathways across the main Hubs and activities.

The pathway towards the impact is outlined by the four initial key outputs  and outcomes, one for each Hub, listed in the table.
