Main research activities/topics/projects

The field of research is that of structural dynamics. We are developing a theory for vibration of periodic structures composed of a two-phase section designed following Fibonacci recursion rule. In this way signals at some frequencies can propagate along the structure, other are hindered. The outcome of this research is the design of structural filters and insulators to be applied to different types of engineering applications (either civil or mechanical engineering).
