Main research activities/topics/projects

Research activities: all the following activities are developed within the Europen Project “openZDM”, of which Univ. Politecnica Marche is partner.

Activities can be developed in the laboratory of Univ. Politecnica delle Marche or in the spin-off company U-Sense.IT, whose location is inside the university building.

Activities:

  1. design, development, calibration and data processing of laser line triangulation sensors, for industrial quality control in manufacturing lines, in particular for the measurement of steel beam straightness (@UNIVPM).
  2. design, development, calibration and data processing by robotized laser line triangulation sensors for 3D shape measurement of mechanical parts(@UNIVPM).
  3. design, development, calibration and data processing of portable hand-held wireless laser line triangulation sensor (IoT device) for measuring gap&flush and geometric profiles (@U-Sense.IT).
  4. data processing of infrared thermal cameras for quality control of high temperature industrial processes (@UNIVPM).
