Main research activities/topics/projects

The main research activities focus on two interconnected areas:

  • Sensing and Data Processing for Manufacturing Environments: This research involves the selection and integration of advanced sensing units for collecting data related to human operators, their working environments, and manufacturing processes. The collected data will be used to automatically assess operator status, and performance, and identify neurodiversity-related factors that may impact task execution and productivity.
  • Development of Neurodiversity-Friendly Communication Channels and Interfaces: This area focuses on creating adaptive communication channels and multimedia user interfaces tailored to support operators with various neurodiversity. These systems aim to enhance the accessibility and usability of tools, ensuring effective interaction and performance within manufacturing environments.

The candidate will engage in cutting-edge research focused on advancing data-driven methods for assessing operator performance and supporting neurodiverse individuals in manufacturing settings. The candidate will work on the integration of sensing technologies and user interfaces to enhance both operational efficiency and inclusivity
