Main research activities/topics/projects

The main research activity will be in the field of chemical kinetics of pyrolysis, gasification, and combustion of gaseous, liquids and solids fuels, with special emphasis on renewable sources (biomasses) and on chemical recycling technologies (plastic waste). Energy carriers such as H2 and NH3 are another very important research topic. 

 The research will focus on utilization of data science and machine learning tools for the development of kinetic models, their, validation, optimization, and reduction for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications, reactor technology and safety aspects.

Depending on the exact topic, the activity will require basic or intermediate computer skills and an engineering (or similar) background.

Post Doc: 12
