The summer school will be designed for PhD students, as well as early career researchers (e.g. post-docs) with background in applied mathematics, computer science, engineering or physics.
We will pay particular attention to ensuring equal opportunities of access to the summer school, without discrimination of sex, ethnicity, religion or income.
Registration is free but mandatory.
Registration opens on 1st November 2023 and closes on 4th of May 2024. However, the organizers reserve the right to close registration early if the logistically manageable maximum number of students is reached.
Scholarships will be available.
The school consists of four theoretical blocks each taught by a different partner.
Each of the 4 blocks (6 hours each) is complemented by a lab session (2 hours) and/or exercise session (2 hours).
In the afternoon sessions, seminars given by Italian and European experts in emerging sectors of imaging for a wide range of application fields will be organized.
The final virtual session with exams will be organized one week after the school is ended.
The total number of hours will be 42, split over two consecutive weeks.
A number of 4 ECTS will be assigned.
