The research activity focuses on the functional and neural mechanisms underlying the representation of body and object use and also deals with the development of an anatomo-functional model of action recognition and imitation. These issues are approached by using behavioral, psychophysical and neuropsychological methods in healthy people and neurological patients.

WWU

WWU

The research unit of Prof. Lappe is an interdisciplinary and international community with members from psychology, biology, physics, computer science, mathematics, and electrical engineering. The research activity is focused on the mechanisms of active perception of space and motion and the control of spatially directed actions. The approaches involve psychophysics, cognitive neuroscience, and computer modeling.

TECNALIA

TECNALIA

TECNALIA Neurotechnology Business Area is focused on developing applied Neural Interfaces. We design, develop and test clinical neurotechnology (hardware and software) to record and stimulate the nervous system and the necessary protocol to restore, optimize or correct a lost function.

TECNALIA Advanced Image processing group of the Industry and Transport division has long experience in image analysis and the extraction of markers and characteristics for image description and classification, both for industrial and biomedical applications.

ZEISS

ZEISS

The research activity focuses on the impact and understanding of perceptual processes and plasticity in the context of ZEISS optical devices, such as progressive lenses. Novel digital optical technologies, such as VR and AR are explored in their role for perception and ZEISS products.

STAM

STAM

STAM is a multidisciplinary engineering company which provides high-tech and turnkey solutions in the following domains: Industry 4.0 & Robotics, Space & Defence, Security & Transport, Energy & Bio-circular economy. Since the company establishment in 1997, STAM focuses on designing and developing of innovative mechanisms, power transmission systems and mechatronic devices, supporting customers along all stages of the product design cycle: conception, multi-physics modelling and virtual prototyping, tools and subsystem design and specification, definition of production systems and cycles, reuse and recycling.

CNR

CNR

The research interests regard the computational principles of the human intelligence at the neural level. The research mainly focuses on the neural basis and neurocomputational modeling of sensorimotor functions and goal-directed behavior.
