On June 3, 2024, a capacity building seminar was held for the members of the LUMEN research group on the theme of the ecosystem approach at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Bologna.
The LUMEN project was able to count on the valuable and wise participation of two distinguished scientists on the theme: Francesco Gonella, from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, and Mario Vito Comar, from Universidad Federal da Grande Dourados (Brazil)
The speakers illustrated the origin of systemic thought and its possible practical applications in various disciplines, with particular attention to environmental matters and the understanding of the relationship between man and the nature of indigenous cosmovisions.

"The ecosystem approach" seminar within the LUMEN project continued with the intervention of Mario Vito Comar, Federal University of Greater Dourados, who discussed legal rights of nature in relation to indigenous communities and climate policies.
