On November 21, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Bologna (Room Romei, via Bersaglieri 6) will host an interview-seminar with Prof. Ramiro Ávila Santamaría, former judge of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador and renowned for his work on the legal personhood of rivers and ecosystems.

The event is organized as part of the LUMEN project, coordinated by Silvia Bagni, LUMEN project coordinator, Amilcare D’Andrea, member of the UNIBO research unit,  and Valentina Capuozzo, a research fellow at the University of Bologna.

This seminar follows the first LUMEN conference, which will be held in Florence on November 19-20, where Prof. Ávila Santamaría will be a featured guest speaker. This is a unique opportunity to explore the rights of nature and delve into innovative legal practices on an international level.
