The style of a cultural artefact is an element with profound significance. Talking of style goes beyond mere belletrism or ornament. Style has always brought with it profound cultural and ideological implications, with its power to give shape to – while at the same time calling into question - our vision of the world and of what is human. The choice of style in communication is linked to the disruptive power innate in art and languages to change how we look at social and cultural phenomena, converting onto the formal plane visions, anxieties and desires that trace paths and create possibilities for a future different from the present.
Registration for the Summer School is compulsory.
