Current members of the research team

Stefano Corrà

Stefano Corrà

Post-doctoral fellow

Stefano received his MSc in Industrial Chemistry (cum laude) in 2012 from the University of Padova. He then joined the group of Prof. Helma Wennemers (ETH Zürich) for his doctoral studies on the use of peptides for controlling the formation of supramolecular nanostructures. He was awarded the title of doctor in 2017. Stefano joined the LEAPS team in October 2017 and works on synthesis and characterization of dissipative supramolecular systems.

Marina Tranfić Bakić

Marina Tranfić Bakić

Post-doctoral fellow

Marina received her PhD degree in Chemistry at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 2015. Her thesis was focused on syntheses of fluorescent calix[4]arene derivatives and studies of their complexation with alkali-metal cations for their potential use as fluorescent sensors. In 2018, she joined the group of Prof. Placido Neri at University of Salerno, where she worked on synthesis of conformationally stable calix[6]arenes and study of their threading with secondary ammonium salts. Marina joined the Credi group at the University of Bologna as a post-doctoral research associate in the framework of the LEAPS project in May 2019. Her work focuses on the kinetic and thermodynamic studies of supramolecular systems.

Erica Paltrinieri

Erica Paltrinieri

PhD Student

Erica received her Master’s degree in Chemistry (cum laude) in 2018 at Università degli Studi di Pisa, working on a project focused on the synthesis of saccharide-derived organometallic complexes to use as IR probes in the diagnostic imaging of cancer cells under the supervision of Professor F. Minutolo and Professor V. Di Bussolo. In 2018, Erica joined Professor A. Credi research group as a PhD student in Nanoscience at Università di Bologna. Her research involves the synthesis and investigation of light-driven molecular pumps in self-assembled bilayer membranes.

Federico Nicoli

Federico Nicoli

PhD Student

Federico graduated in Chemistry (cum laude) in 2018 at the Università “La Sapienza” in Rome, under the supervision of Prof. Patrizia Gentili and Dr. Francesca D’Acunzo. His thesis work involved the synthesis of (2-hydroxyimino)aldehydes and the determination of their inhibitory activity toward the enzyme Carbonyl reductase (CBR). Federico started his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Bologna in November 2018 working on synthesis and characterization of out of equilibrium supramolecular systems.

Leonardo Andreoni

Leonardo Andreoni

PhD Student

Leonardo Andreoni received his laurea (MSC) in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials from the University of Bologna in 2019. He then joined the LEAPS team as a PhD student in Nanoscience. His tasks in the project include the spectroscopic, photo physical and electrochemical characterisation of molecular and supramolecular systems.
