The King Abdulaziz Chair for Islamic Studies represents a successful cooperation between Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh and the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. Its call is the realization of scientific projects related to the field of Islamic studies in the broader sense of the term and strives for the creation of a reference point for students and academics in Bologna and in Italy. The Chair is located in the heart of Bologna, at Palazzo Paleotti, next to Palazzo Poggi, the headquarters of Bologna University.
