The Confucius Institute of the University of Bologna informs all the students about the Summer School "International Summer School-Renmin University of China", that will last 3 weeks in the summer period (July 2022), with its partner university, the People's University (中国人民大学 - Renmin University of China) of Beijing.
Since its first edition in 2009, the Renmin University of China (RUC) International Summer School has been an important initiative to promote the internationalisation of talent cultivation. The RUC International Summer School is committed to offering students multicultural and multidisciplinary learning, promoting dialogue between students from different countries and cultures, and cultivating their international perspective and intercultural communication skills.
The Summer School includes Chinese language classes as well as courses in other subjects and disciplines, and participation in activities focusing on different aspects of Chinese culture.
This year, the International Summer School will be held online from 11 to 29 of July, with the following schedules: 8:00-11:30 am or 2:00-5:30 pm or 6:00-9:30 pm (GMT+8) with one class every other day. Students are welcome to attend this new online edition of the RUC International Summer School 2022!
Scholarships
Renmin University provides a number of scholarships for students of the Confucius Institute of Bologna which generally include the cost of the courses.
The possibility of accessing the Summer School with a scholarship is, therefore, reserved for students of the Confucius Institute of the University of Bologna, who have attended a Chinese language course for at least 40 hours and to the students enrolled in University of Bologna, even to those who will learn chinese for the first time.
We would like to remind all those interested that the selection process for the assignment of the scholarships is the exclusive responsibility of Renmin University, which will determine the students who will receive the scholarships on the basis of its own unquestionable criteria.
Application period: from 25 March to 15 May 2022.
All students who meet the requirements and are interested in participating in the call for applications for the scholarships must necessarily contact the Confucius Institute of the University of Bologna, to make an appointment with the Chinese Director, Prof. Xu Difei or Prof. Geng Lu. Students on courses held at the Confucius Institute may refer to their teacher.
