The training objectives, the didactic program, the lesson schedule and all the information on the Chinese language standard course B1 level.
Starting from October 15, 2024, the Confucius Institute at the University of Bologna is organizing a Chinese language course aimed at those who have already passed and acquired the 2nd level of the HSK language certification or have been studying Chinese for at least one year.
The course is specifically dedicated to those who have already passed and acquired the 2nd level of the HSK language certification or have been studying Chinese for at least one year.
The course aims to deepen the study of Chinese grammar and will allow students to expand their vocabulary and improve their listening and reading comprehension. Participants will gain a good basic understanding of Chinese and will be able to communicate on familiar and routine topics.
Classes will be taught by native-speaking teachers from the People’s University of Beijing, specialized in teaching Chinese to foreigners. The course language will be English. The course program will be tailored by the teacher based on the prior knowledge of the participants, taking into account the average starting level of the class.
The course, lasting one year, is organized into two semesters (October-January and February-May) and will prepare students to pass the HSK Level 3 exam. Registration must be completed on a semester-by-semester basis.
Missed lessons CANNOT be made up. Any changes to the class days and/or times due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the Institute’s control will be promptly communicated to participants by the teacher and/or via email.
Please note that the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student decides to register without taking advantage of the trial period. Additionally, the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student, after having completed regular registration, does not attend the lessons.
To register for the course, you will need to choose the course by consulting the link Corso di lingua cinese (Ottobre 2024-Gennaio 2025) and send us a confirmation email with your name and the level of the course for which you intend to pre-register. Pre-registration is non-binding. Upon reaching the minimum number of participants necessary to activate the course, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information needed to proceed with payment and thus with the final registration.
But don’t worry: before making the final registration (and therefore paying the required fee), you will have time to attend a couple of lessons and evaluate if the course actually meets your needs. For this reason, the course payment can only be made starting from October 19, after the trial week.
Please note that the Institute reserves the right not to activate the course if the minimum number of 10 participants is not reached.
Furthermore, all interested parties are requested to read the specific Privacy Policy (available for download on our website) in order to knowingly provide or withhold their consent for the processing of personal data, including for the optional purposes indicated on the form.
In the case of the applicant being under 18, informed consent signed by the parents/legal guardian is required (form available as an attachment).
Please note that the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student decides to register without taking advantage of the trial period. Additionally, the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student, after having completed regular registration, does not attend the lessons.
Missed lessons CANNOT be made up. Registrations submitted in ways other than those indicated above will not be accepted.
The Confucius Institute will offer the standard B1 First course for the fall semester 2024 in a mixed mode, both in-person and online. After the confirmation of the course activation and close to the start of classes, pre-registered students will receive via email all the information regarding the classroom where the courses will be held.
The teaching materials will be communicated and provided to students during the course. The teaching materials will be provided exclusively in digital format (in .pdf version). Please note that the paper version of the textbooks is NOT included in the course cost.
