By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and use very simple Chinese expressions and meet basic communication needs, such as introducing themselves. The course program includes Pinyin, tones and phonetics, and basic reading and writing of characters.

The course will be tailored by the teacher based on the prior knowledge of the participants, taking into account the average starting level of the class. The course is designed to last one semester and will prepare students to pass the HSK Level 1 exam.

  • November: 4-6-11-13-18-20-25-27
  • December: 2-4-9-11-16-18

How to Register

To register for the course, you will need to choose the course by consulting the link Corso di lingua cinese (Ottobre 2024-Gennaio 2025) and send us a confirmation email with your name and the level of the course for which you intend to pre-register. Pre-registration is non-binding. Upon reaching the minimum number of participants necessary to activate the course, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information needed to proceed with payment and thus with the final registration.

But don’t worry: before making the final registration (and therefore paying the required fee), you will have time to attend a couple of lessons and evaluate if the course actually meets your needs. For this reason, the course payment can only be made starting from October 19, after the trial week.

Please note that the Institute reserves the right not to activate the course if the minimum number of 10 participants is not reached.

Furthermore, all interested parties are requested to read the specific Privacy Policy (available for download on our website) in order to knowingly provide or withhold their consent for the processing of personal data, including for the optional purposes indicated on the form.

In the case of the applicant being under 18, informed consent signed by the parents/legal guardian is required (form available as an attachment).

Please note that the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student decides to register without taking advantage of the trial period. Additionally, the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student, after having completed regular registration, does not attend the lessons.

Missed lessons CANNOT be made up. Registrations submitted in ways other than those indicated above will not be accepted.

In-Person Lessons

The Confucius Institute will offer the standard A1 course for the fall semester 2024 in a mixed mode, both in-person and online.

After the confirmation of the course activation and close to the start of classes, pre-registered students will receive via email all the information regarding the classroom where the courses will be held.

Teaching Materials

The teaching materials will be communicated and provided to students during the course. The teaching materials will be provided exclusively in digital format (in .pdf version). Please note that the paper version of the textbooks is NOT included in the course cost.
