Starting from October 16, 2024, the Confucius Institute at the University of Bologna is organizing a Chinese language course for those who have already obtained at least the HSK Level 4 certification or have been studying Chinese for at least 3-4 years.
The course is specifically dedicated to those who have already obtained at least the HSK Level 4 certification or have been studying Chinese for at least 3-4 years.
By the end of the course, students will be able to converse in Chinese on a wide range of topics and communicate fluently with native Chinese speakers. The lessons will be taught by native speakers, teachers from the People’s University of Beijing, specialized in teaching Chinese to foreigners. The program will be tailored by the teacher based on the prior knowledge of the participants, taking into account the average starting level of the class. The course language will be English. The course, which lasts two years, is divided into four semesters (October-January and February-May) and will prepare students for passing the HSK Level 5 exam. Registration must be completed semester by semester.
For this semester, students enrolled in our language courses can participate in an 8-hour seminar series on legal-economic topics titled "Doing Business in China in the Digital Era". For more information on registration procedures, please visit the dedicated page.
Missed lessons CANNOT be made up. Any changes to the class days and/or times due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the Institute’s control will be promptly communicated to participants by the teacher and/or via email.
Please note that the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student decides to register without taking advantage of the trial period. Additionally, the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student, after having completed regular registration, does not attend the lessons.
To register for the course, you will need to choose the course by consulting the link Corso di lingua cinese (Ottobre 2024-Gennaio 2025) and send us a confirmation email with your name and the level of the course for which you intend to pre-register. Pre-registration is non-binding. Upon reaching the minimum number of participants necessary to activate the course, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information needed to proceed with payment and thus with the final registration.
But don’t worry: before making the final registration (and therefore paying the required fee), you will have time to attend a couple of lessons and evaluate if the course actually meets your needs. For this reason, the course payment can only be made starting from October 19, after the trial week.
Please note that the Institute reserves the right not to activate the course if the minimum number of 10 participants is not reached. Furthermore, all interested parties are requested to read the specific Privacy Policy (available for download on our website) in order to knowingly provide or withhold their consent for the processing of personal data, including for the optional purposes indicated on the form. In the case of the applicant being under 18, informed consent signed by the parents/legal guardian is required (form available as an attachment).
Please note that the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student decides to register without taking advantage of the trial period. Additionally, the registration fee CANNOT be refunded under any circumstances if the student, after having completed regular registration, does not attend the lessons. Missed lessons CANNOT be made up. Registrations submitted in ways other than those indicated above will not be accepted.
The Confucius Institute will offer the C1 evening course exclusively online via the Zoom platform. After the confirmation of the course activation and close to the start of classes, pre-registered students will receive via email the meeting link and credentials (Meeting ID and Password) necessary to attend the trial online lessons. The definitive meeting link and credentials for the actual course attendance will be communicated later exclusively to students who proceed with the payment and thus with the final registration, concurrently with the confirmation of registration.
We remind all students that the teachers will provide all information regarding the system’s operation and are always available to provide further information. For any needs related to using the Zoom platform, you can always contact your reference teacher.
The teaching materials will be communicated and provided to students during the course. The teaching materials will be provided exclusively in digital format (in .pdf version). Please note that the paper version of the textbooks is NOT included in the course cost. To improve the service offered, we remind all students that, in addition to online lessons, the video recording of the lesson itself and any additional material will be sent as support. For this, the teachers will use the "WeTransfer" program, as it does not require any registration or installation by the users, who can download the materials directly to their PCs/devices.
