The use of FARE-Lab for teaching activities is subject to the provisions set out in “La gestione della sicurezza dei laboratori didattici del Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Agro-Alimentari (DISTAL)”.
Teaching activities carried out in FARE-Lab (classified as laboratory activities under Ministerial Decree 363/98) must comply with the legal requirements set out in D.Lgs. 81/2008 on occupational safety.
Access to the teaching laboratory is not permitted without the RDRL (the supervisor of teaching or research activities) present, i.e., the lecturer or researcher responsible for the activity.
All students accessing the teaching laboratories shall have completed the “General Training” (Module 1) and “Low Risk Specific Training” (Module 2) courses. Note: Students who have not obtained the certification for Module 1 and/or Module 2 are not permitted to access the laboratory or participate in the activities.
The “High Risk Specific Training” certificate (Module 3) may be replaced by an in-person briefing on safety regulations delivered by the lecturer or their delegate upon students’ arrival in the classroom, specifically on:
• laboratory activities and related risks;
• emergency management procedures;
• safety requirements for students working in the laboratory.
To facilitate verification of students’ compliance with these requirements, a system has been implemented that enables lecturers to access this information independently.
The instructions are as follows:
• Log in to AlmaEsami;
• Access the “Students and Statistics” section.
• For each course/module, click “Export” and select the desired format (Excel or CSV).
• In the exported file, check the last column, titled “Safety Courses”, to verify the status of the safety training modules.
