ECHOO Goals
- To empower health consumers, regardless of age, role, or background, with evidence-based knowledge and competencies about placebo and nocebo phenomena, supporting informed engagement in healthcare and self-management.
- To integrate knowledge about placebo and nocebo effects into the transversal competence catalogues of partner universities, through an AI-enhanced MOOC and a jointly designed micro-credential system.
- To engage the broader community of health consumers by developing civic engagement initiatives that spread awareness of placebo and nocebo effects beyond the university setting.
PANACEA Goals
- To provide Higher Education healthcare students and professionals with knowledge and competence about placebo and nocebo mechanisms and their effects on clinical outcomes and assist practitioners' decisions about the appropriate use of placebo and nocebo effects.
- To support Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) medical institutions in enriching student's curricula with a specific course on placebo and nocebo effects.
