The Summer School “Climate Change: Cultural Practices and Socio-Economic Outcomes” explores urgent issues connected to climate change, related cultural practices – in terms of imagery and forms of artistic expression – and their social and economic impacts. Through an interdisciplinary approach involving faculty from usually distant academic fields such as art history, physics and economics, a speculative approach will be developed, aimed at understanding the dramatic environmental condition that has taken shape with the advent of the Anthropocene. In particular, the educational project moves from a reconsideration of cultural practices as an engine of social processes based on forms of public engagement.
