Here you will find information on the activities of the Centre and its members. CISR has its administrative headquarter at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LILEC) of the University of Bologna.

This conference will explore women writers’ contributions to the representation of Italy in Europe from the 19th century to the outbreak of the First World War. In particular, anyone is invited to contribute through the composition of papers, as explained in the attached file.

The planned conferencewill combine reflections on the past with thoughts on Romantic ideas of the future, referring to the philosophical writings of Johann Gottfried Herder, especially the part where he deals with the methodology of literary research and the ways of doing historiography.

About CISR
CISR (Centro Interuniversitario per lo Studio del Romanticismo) aims to promote and support interdisciplinary research, education and documentation activities on Romanticism.

Editorial Activity
Publishing activities of CISR members include journal publications, international series, monographs and Open Access works.

CISR organises and promotes conferences, seminars and study days on interdisciplinary topics related to Romanticism with the participation of visiting scholars.

Internship
CISR offers students of the Department of Modern Languages, Literature and Cultures (LILEC) the opportunity to carry out a curricular internship at the administrative headquarters in Bologna. The activities carried out concern the cultural, publishing, IT and scientific areas of the Centre.
