A dual-language lesson in Italian and English in which, guided by Tomasi Di Lampedusa, historian of English literature, and passing through the chivalric epic of the sixteenth century, we will explore how Swift and Byron developed the language of satire and contributed to shaping, between the eighteenth century and Romanticism, the forms of laughter in English-speaking cultures.
