The 2018 campaign focused on the excavation of the central burial site of Circle 1 (known as the 'Prince's Tomb') and the Roman tombs located in the immediate vicinity.
The group of archaeologists from the University of Bologna (pictured) consisted of Federica Boschi, Michele Silani, Vincenzo Baldoni, Michele Scalici, Enrico Zampieri, Simona Seccamonte, Michael Benfatti, Isotta Damassa, Giovanna Agostini and Ilaria Pistelli.
Professors and students from the single-cycle degree course in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage also contributed to the investigations.
The 2019 campaign, which was conducted from 17 June to 12 July, focused on the extensive exploration of Circle 1 and the excavation of several Roman tombs located between it and Circle 2.

Due to the sanitary measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to organise a proper excavation campaign in 2020. However, a small group of people supervised the excavations planned for the expansion of the sports area and documented the evidence that emerged from the splat operations, which were then investigated the following year. Studies and restorations also continued, also in view of the exhibition opening in 2021.
The 2021 campaign (5 to 31 July) was mainly dedicated to the investigation of Circle 4, the princely burial ground within it, and the numerous Roman tombs in the same area. During the campaign, the exhibition 'Il tesoro ritrovato' was also inaugurated at the Corinaldo Art Gallery.

During the 2022 campaign, which took place from 27 June to 22 July, the Roman necropolis was extensively investigated, with the excavation of over 40 burials located between Circles 1, 2 and 4, which were brought to light for large stretches; the monumental entrance to Circle 1 was also identified.

Excavation campaign 2023, which took place from 26 June to 21 July, focused on the excavation of the sector north of Circles 1 and 2, re-exposing the entrance to Circle 1 and discovering part of the entrance to Circle 2. During the excavations, numerous Roman tombs were investigated, as well as a number of pits that can probably be traced back to the frequentation of the site in pre-Roman times.
