Sites and collaborators

In bold are indicated PIs or collaborators we were in touch with and/or joined us during fieldwork

Sites included in NEXTRES are summarised in the map below and the Table, together with PIs and key collaborators that were happy to be involved in the project and allowed us to visit the site for wood core sampling. Some of them joined us during fieldwork!

NEXTRES include 12 forests chosen along an environmental gradient, with changes in temperature but most importantly Ndep, as shown in the Figure. Specifically, sites are below and above the critical loads for nitrogen, set between 10 and 20 kg ha^-1 yr^-1 depending on the tree species (as indicated with the yellow box in the figure).
