Dangerous Connections: Technology and Gender Violence in the Digital Age

The journal Sociologia della Comunicazione welcomes submissions from scholars and researchers.

Guest editors Chiara Gius and Antonella Mascio invite contributions for a special issue on the theme “Dangerous Connections: Technology and Gender Violence in the Digital Age”.  The issue aims to explore the multiple forms of cyber-violence against women and girls, the underlying power dynamics, and the various strategies of resistance and response.

This special issue offers an opportunity to engage in a focused scholarly debate on a phenomenon that remains underexplored, and to contribute to the advancement of research on these emerging topics.

Interested authors are encouraged to submit a long abstract of their proposed paper by mid-May 2025, to allow for preliminary evaluation by the editorial board.
