Our Clinical Skills Lab (CSL) has been active at the Department since the academic year 2019/20.

The CSL is a dedicated space for training and practicing specific clinical skills of veterinary professionals. This laboratory provides a controlled environment and realistic simulations to develop the practical skills necessary for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of animals.

In a CSL, veterinary students and professionals in training have the opportunity to acquire practical skills through practice on anatomical models, mannequins, or simulated animals. This allows them to learn and practice clinical procedures such as drug administration, airway management, suturing, and other basic surgical procedures.

The CSL also offers the opportunity to simulate complex and realistic clinical scenarios or the management of complex cases. This allows students and professionals to gain practical experience in making clinical decisions, managing time, communicating with animal owners, and working in teams.

The main objective of the CSL is to provide a safe and controlled environment where students and professionals in training can develop their practical skills, improve their confidence and clinical competence, and prepare for veterinary practice in real-life situations. These labs are an integral part of veterinary education and contribute to ensuring high-quality care for animals.
