What it is

Safety training is mandatory for students, and the certificate must be obtained before attending laboratories or participating in internships.

Courses to attend, login details and exemptions

The courses are delivered via the e-learning platform, accessible with your university credentials.

Any training already undertaken at the University of Bologna is automatically recognised.

Those who have completed general training at other organisations or companies may be exempted from Module 1 by uploading their certificate to the ‘Safety course exemption’ section on Studenti Online (SOL).

For those who work in laboratories handling chemicals, biological agents, mechanical equipment, on construction sites, etc.

Final assessment test and Certification

  • Final assessment test: multiple choice. You will be able to take the online test immediately after you complete the course. If you do not pass the test, you will have to wait 7 days before you can repeat the training
  • Certification: after passing the test you can download the certificate – in Italian or English – by logging into Studenti Online and going to the “Certificates and Self-certifications” page.
