The Risk Assessment Document (DVR) is a document that identifies, evaluates and describes the risks in a workplace. It contains the preventive and protective measures to ensure the safety and health of everyone working, studying or conducting research at the University. The Occupational Health Physician uses the DVR to draw up the Health Protocol, i.e. the list of scheduled examinations and their frequency, according to the job and risks relating to a specific work context.

Risk factors, or hazards, are substances, equipment, situations and activities that may cause harm to people or damage the work environment.

Certify the absence (or existence) of contraindications to exposing a worker to a certain risk, or the need to comply with specific prescriptions or limitations to protect the worker’s health. They are issued by the Occupational Health Physician and the Authorised Physician at the end of the medical examination.

At the University, they are to be understood as workers or their equivalent:
- teaching, research and technical-administrative staff;
- non-employed staff and staff of public and private partner organisations, who carry out their activity at the University facilities;
- university students, PhD students, post-graduates, interns, scholarship holders and their equivalents attending teaching, research or service laboratories who, by reason of their specific activity, are exposed to the risks identified in the assessment document.

The Technical Waste Unit [Nucleo Tecnico Rifiuti (Nu.Te.R.)] is the reference group for coordinating special waste management and disposal

This refers to the programme of periodic health checks, drawn up according to the role performed and exposure to risk in a specific work context. The Occupational Health Physician draws this up based on the Risk Assessment Document.

Medical examinations to protect the health status of anyone studying or working, in relation to possible occupational risks and the type of activity carried out. It includes specific checks according to the risk factors one is exposed to.
