The Sport Technology Lab is a research laboratory, at DICAM department of University of Bologna.
We are a research and prototyping hub in which different knowledges come together to develope innovative technologies and applications for the sport equipment field.
The lab was established in 2018 by Martino Colonna, Associate Professor of University of Bologna, Industrial Chemist and avid skier.
During the years the Sport Technology Lab has grown both in peoples and technical equipments with collaboration with several italian and international sport brands.
The main research areas are recycling systems for sport equipment, new polymeric materials from renewable resources, materials impact resistance and deformation tests and rapid prototyping techniques
