The project partners met remotely for the final meeting, aimed at reviewing the activities carried out and the results achieved. During the meeting, a discussion of the data obtained, both from a modeling and experimental perspective, was conducted.
The University of Bologna is participating in Researchers' Night 2025, an event dedicated to discovering and sharing scientific research with the general public. Among the projects selected for this edition, BIONIC was presented.
The project partners met remotely to discuss modeling data, the initial results obtained in a complete graphite/LFP cell, the comparison of experimental data regarding the in-cell reproducibility of rate capability and stability measurements using graphite containing chitosan as a binder and graphite containing CMC/SBR as a benchmark, and the results of the T-peel test.
The meeting was held online. Modeling data on potential interactions at the interface between chitosan monomer and graphite were presented, along with experimental data on the in-cell reproducibility of rate capability and stability measurements using the best graphite formulation available at the time. Characterization measurements performed on the polymer binder were also discussed.
A BIONIC project meeting was held at the Polytechnic University of Turin. The partners discussed the results of Workpackage 2, including modeling tests, electrode formulations, and cell testing.

The first BIONIC project meeting was held in Bologna at the "Giacomo Ciamician" Department of Chemistry. In addition to the scientific discussion, the discussion also focused on data dissemination and the website content currently under development, which will be launched in early April.
The BIONIC project, formally launched on October 16, 2023, kicked off on October 24, 2023, at the "Giacomo Ciamician" Department of Chemistry in Bologna. Coordinator Rita Magri (UNIMORE), Deputy Coordinator Catia Arbizzani (UNIBO), and Silvia Bodoardo (POLITO) met to outline and discuss future research activities and the recruitment of new researchers.
