THE PROJECT

Play with Eu was promoted by the University of Bologna in cooperation with Baolab soc. coop., and is supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Program - Jean Monnet action, which aims at promoting excellence in education and research about the studies on the European Union.

Play with Eu seeks to get young people aware of and interested in the European Union by means of an innovative approach based on active participation of boys and girls. The primary goal of the project is to fill the knowledge gap that is keeping the European Union far from young people and to strengthen a sense of belonging to the community of the European citizens. The project envisages the setting up of an on-line interactive game to help young students know the European Union while having fun.

With ten workshops running in three first-grade secondary schools, Play with Eu puts the students at the center of the activities to perform; the game will be created and implemented by the students, after they have been provided with dedicated classes and contents on the European Union in terms of history, institutions, values and available opportunities. Every class will have to frame part of the questions, design an avatar and make videos and graphics; all those items will be included in the game, which will be available on-line for free.

At the end of the project, a final event will take place where the class will experience the Play with Eu game.
