Description
The partnership on Sustainable Land Use and NBSs started its work in June 2017 in the framework of the Urban Agenda for the EU process, launched in May 2016 with the Pact of Amsterdam. The aim of the Partnership, led by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and the Municipality of Bologna, and supported by the University of Bologna, has been to identify relevant actions for reducing urban sprawl and land take on the one side, and to mainstream the introduction of nature and natural features and processes into cities on the other ones. Both approaches aim to achieve a livable compactness. Nine actions have been identified and included in an Action Plan that is now in the implementation phase.
