QUI Val di Fiastra

QUI Val di Fiastra aims at activating a socio-cultural regeneration process for the Fiastra Valley, in the Province of Macerata (Marche Region). 

The project involves the Municipaities of Ripe San Ginesio, as project leader, Colmurano and Loro Piceno. The Municipalities of Urbisaglia, Sant'Angelo in Pontano and San Ginesio are also involved in the project interventions. QUI Val di Fiastra comprises 15 interventions, aimed at:

• Increasing the cultural local participation;
• Activating the socio-economic structure of the historic villages;
• Tackling the progressive depopulation of small villages in rural areas;

Crosswise, all project actions seek to promote a sustainable form of rural development and regeneration, to protect the environment, to ensure local inclusion and participation.

The Planning&Regeneration group of the Department of Architecture is involved in the following interventions:

• Intervention 7: Osservatorio del Paesaggio - a research, mapping and documentation centre on local cultural landscapes, with dissemination activities;
• Intervention 9: Ecosistema Digitale di Vallata - a digital platform to support the dissemination of the activites within the project, to increase the visibility of local cultural productions, to promote new synergies among the valley actors and a sense of belonging and caring for the community and the territory.
