Improving accessibily of STEM Education in institutions of higher learning in Africa
The project aims to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in African higher education by promoting Planetary and Space Science and Technology (PSST) for sustainable growth and job creation in a continent rapidly embracing the fourth industrial revolution. Recognized as a key area of investment, PSST equips graduates and young scientists with the necessary skills to tackle 21st-century challenges, such as digital innovation and job creation. FAST4Future seeks to increase accessibility to STEM, modernize existing PSST programs, promote staff mobility, and standardize PSST across Africa. By establishing a Centre of Excellence in PSST (CESST) and a virtual platform, the project aims to disseminate high-quality academic content, enhance STEM access for remote communities, and promote women's participation in STEM fields.
