Interested in taking part in our NeMo project and boost the world of research?

The project uses qualitative and quantitative methods in order to study the interactions between caregivers and infants later diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, looking for the differences with typical developing infants during Secondary Intersubjectivity (9-18-month-old).

Early diagnosis and early treatment can make the difference for ASD children.

YOUR HELP WOULD BE PRECIOUS!

The University of Bologna has set up an encrypted database in order to let you upload your home videos in a safe way and help our research. If you have home videos (shot with smartphones etc.) of your infant later diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, your contribution can be precious for us! We are looking for home videos of you and your infant when he/she was 9-18-month-old. We are especially looking for home videos of interactions of the infant playing with toys and the caregiver trying to interact with him/her. However, videos of everyday life interactions like meal, personal care etc. are also more than welcome. The infant has to be present in the video. There is no need that the caregiver is also present in the video: it is enough if we can hear his/her voice interacting with the child. So a mother/father filming his/her child playing and trying to interact with him/her is more than enough. Of course, if the caregiver is also visible is even better. If you have videos like that, please help NeMo project and share them with us by sending an e-mail to:

nemoprojectdatabase@live.unibo.it

The video recordings will be in no way made public or disclosed to third parties. Please, see the "Participation Procedure" if you need more detailed information.

Please, support a research that can help caregivers and parents to early detect possible social skills impairments and act on time. This can actually improve the quality of life of ASD children.
