The project

Granted within the framework of the 2022 call "Global South", the project is coordinated by Matteo Paoletti (Università di Bologna) and aims at promoting the cultural cooperation between Italy and Tunisia through an articulated set of activities.
Workshop, research, student exchange, and international conferences are some of the initiatives that will realise an effective opportunity of mutual knowledge between two shores of the Mediterranean that are increasingly debated in the public sphere. The project will also lead to the production of a show of musical theatre, based on a contemporary adaptation of the myth of Dido and Aeneas through music instruments of European and Tunisian tradition.
