Mobility experience with a research focus

  • Who it’s for

Master students involved in the final research, PhD sandwich, Post Doc

Department

Chemical & Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Trieste

Main research activities/topics/projects

The Superstructures Labs  led by Prof. Silvia Marchesan cover the following activities:

  • Design, production, characterization and application of nanocomposites with carbon nanostructures (e.g., graphene, carbon nanotubes, etc.) mainly based in green solvents (water, acetonitrile etc.) including the functionalization of carbon nanostructures, fa various uses spanning from health to catalysis
  • Design, production and characterization of self-assembling peptides for various uses. Recent works include: hydrogels for drug delivery or cell culture, pathological amyloid fibrillation inhibitors, enzyme mimetics, catalysis, antimicrobials, etc.
