Main research activities/topics/projects

Musculoskeletal diseases represent a fascinating area of research for kinesiologists and physiotherapists, with the use of novel technologies for neuromuscular evaluation and rehabilitation. The PhD candidate will be involved in research projects involving the use of different techniques, in particular surface electromyography and ultrasound (shear-wave elastography) to investigate the effects of different therapeutic strategies (including augmented/virtual reality and sensorimotor training) on neuromuscular parameters in people with musculoskeletal diseases from both the sports and clinical setting.

Working language

both Italian and English.

Special entry requirements

The ideal candidate should have previous experience with surface electromyography, strength assessment, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
