Mobility experience with a research focus
PhD sandwich
Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences at University of Verona
The PhD candidates will be working in the field of Exercise Physiology.
Our laboratory is involved in several research projects that focus on the multidimensional characterisation of the acute physiological responses and chronic adaptations to exercise training. Our main experimental model is the ageing, healthy human yet we also conduct studies in populations affected by exercise-sensitive diseases. Our aims are to unveil the physiological mechanisms of action of different exercise-based interventions and to quantify the dose-response relationship between exercise-therapy and specific health-related outcomes. These notions find their ultimate application in individualised, outcome-specific exercise prescription for different populations.
The working language is either English or Italian, advanced English or Italian requested
- at least some experience in exercise physiology measurements in a human experimental model, such as cardiorespiratory testing, biomechanics and bioenergetics of human movement, evaluation of muscle function.
- advanced use of the Office package
- at least basic use of a statistical package
- advanced English or Italian
