Main research activities/topics/projects

Candidates will be invited to develop high level of autonomy on drones with integrated perception payload. The development includes: 1 - design and development of an integrated frameworks involving ROS2/MATLAB/SIMULINK/JAX/KERAS/DeepLearning; 2 Demonstrating reasoning capabilities in indoor flights; 3 Implement advanced behaviors in Search and Rescue, Mapping, Exploration; 4 Integration of non mechanical interfaces (e.g. Verbal commands); 5 Integration of content discovery (VLA/VLM networks); 6 High level cognitive reasoning; 7 Practival demonstration in one scenario (e.g. transportation, civil engineering, precision agriculture).

 Experience of Control and Automation; Programming; Deep Learning; Robotics with ROS/ROS2; Python; Embedded Systems

PhD sandwich: 6 - 12
