Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Research activities in the group are the development and application of time-dependent quantum methods to study light-driven processes in molecules and nanostructures.
Open projects relevant for the incoming student are:
study of plasmon enhancement of the electronic circular dichroism (ECD) in chiral molecules close to metal nanostructures;
study of the effect of plasmonic nanostructures on the high-harmonic generation (HHG) spectra of atoms;
study of of the effect of plasmonic nanostructures on the optical response (linear absorption and ECD) on biomolecules playing a role in epigenetic;
study of HHG spectra with tailored fields, to select by symmetry specific molecular orbitals.
English
Familiarity with one of Fortran/Python is a plus.
