Operando Characterisation of Batteries and Energy Materials

  • What it is

Mobility experience with a research focus

  • Who it’s for

    PhD sandwich ; Post Doc

Department

Industrial Chemistry "Toso Montanari"

Main research activities/topics/projects

The Electrochemistry, Spectroscopy and Energy (S2E) group combines electrochemical methods to spectroscopical ones and is involved in the development and characterization of new electrode materials for advanced electrochemical power sources, such as batteries and supercapacitors, taking care of sustainability aspects. Materials are synthesized, characterized, and then tested in suitable cells, using most appropriate advanced analytical techniques, also using operando and synchrotron radiation analysis. Keywords are: materials science, x-rays, data analysis, synchrotron radiation techniques, spectroscopy, and energy.
