The PhD candidate will be integrated in a project which aims to investigate modern developments of classical subjects in Control Theory, exploiting interactions between nonsmooth analysis, viscosity methods, and geometric control approach. In particular, we aim to explore controllability, stabilizability, and optimization of (possibly delayed and impulsive) control systems, under different kinds of constraints, as cost, state, or regularity constraints. We are motivated by both ancient theoretical questions and some new applications in biology, robotics, and social sciences.
