Main research activities/topics/projects

For all positions the field of research is related to Health Physics and Radioprotection mainly linked to ionizing radiation. In particular, the principal research items are:

  • optimizing the production of new theranostic radionuclides with high specific activity using unconventional beams with the aim of producing them with high yield and high purity, using particle beam accelerators, gamma spectrometry, computer code simulations.
  • analysis on environmental samples for the determination of the presence of radionuclides of natural and artificial origin in food and derivates matrices as well as analysing filters for the determination of the presence of radioactive contaminants in air.
  • Application of gamma spectrometry for cultural heritage applications

All of them can be declined according to the level of study.
