Molecular Magnetic Switches for Biological and Environmental Applications

  • What it is

Mobility experience with a research focus

  • Who it’s for

Master students involved in the final research, PhD sandwich, Post Doc

Department

Department of Ecology and Biology (DEB), University of Tuscia, Viterbo

Main research activities/topics/projects

My research activity focuses on Coordination Chemistry, where I have a lasting experience on the preparation of Molecular Magnetic Switches, coordination compounds with switchable spectroscopic and magnetic properties. Projects are available to use them as selective carriers of anticancer drugs and to develop hybrid nanostructures for light-induced degradation of organic pollutants in wastewaters.

The visiting student is expected to gain experience in the design, synthesis and in the structural, spectroscopic, electrochemical and magnetic characterization of coordination compounds.

Working language

Italian, Portuguese, English
