Mobility experience with a research focus
PhD sandwich
Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences / PhD in Models and Methods for Materials and Environmental Sciences, University or Modena e Reggio Emilia
The research group has sound expertise in developing chemometrics tools for different tasks ranging from exploratory data analysis, classification, multivariate calibration, multivariate/multiway resolution methods (including MCR, PARAFAC) to data fusion and multivariate image analysis. There is also deep competence in chromatography (including high resolution LC-MS) and spectroscopy including mid/near- Infrared, Raman, etc..
The PhD student could thus find support to develop tailored tools based on the synergistic use of spectroscopy and/or untargeted chromatography and chemometrics approaches such as multivariate curve resolution with regression constrain to resolve overlapping components and calibrate different properties. As well as data fusion techniques to integrate information from diverse analytical platform.
The Working language will be English
