Standard setting in the public sector: is there a best model?
The researcher will be involved in a research programme aimed at investigating how national standard setters are established and governed, their remits, the way they work, the resources they are allocated, their accountability. In particular, the researcher will be asked to analyse the international activity of some national standard setters, so as to check if and how they devote a significant part of their work to take part in international fora, also to represent and promote their countries’ national interest.
The working language will be English, but there will also be the opportunity to use Italian, and Portuguese (if the researcher is willing to make a focus on the Brazilian or the Portuguese standard setter).
