The proposed research project aims to examine how EU fundamental values are applied and promoted in international relations, including inside international organisations. These values include: the protection of human rights, environmental protection and sustainable development of the Earth, democracy, the rule of law, free and fair trade, strict observance and development of international law, including respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter.
