The research aims at investigating the brand equity developed by creating brands related to specific territories in order to generate value for local foods. Particular interest is addressed to EU quality brands, with particular reference to the “Mountain product” label. The research aims also at understanding the perception of “authentic and sustainable labels” of these brands and its contribution to their brand equity. Farmers, Producers, retailers and consumers will be surveyed with different research methods (qualitative – semi-structured interviews - and quantitative – surveys).
